"Energy is the foundation of physical and emotional health" - Donna Eden
We are all energy and live in an energy-filled world. Energy is everywhere.
The Energy Medicine Institute says, the body’s energies are the key to health, vitality, and well-being. Energy medicine is the art and science of working with and teaching people to work with these energies to empower them to live happier, healthier lives. Long recognized by Eastern cultures, subtle energy fields are only recently being detected, studied, and utilized by Western medicine. Energy medicine is transforming health care, as well as having an impact on education, business, sports, and all other endeavors involving human performance. Energy has an impact on all of life, how we live in our bodies and how we relate to our communities and environments every day.
Energy or vibrational medicine is a holistic approach to healing that uses the power of various forms of energy frequencies to promote physical, emotional, and spiritual well-being. It is based on the principle that everything in the universe vibrates at its own unique frequency, including the human body, and that by using various forms of energy, we can influence and balance these frequencies to promote health and healing.
Energy medicine encompasses a wide range of practices and therapies. Hundreds, if not thousands, including: acupuncture, reiki, osteopathy, qi gong, some forms of chiropractic (like Network Spinal Analysis), flower essences, scent, sound and frequency, color, light, belief work, paying attention to thought forms, biofield tuning, psychic tools and many others. These practices aim to balance the body's energy and promote healing by restoring the body's natural balance and harmony. In truth, we are already using energy medicine in some ways that we may not even be aware of. Scent can transport us to memories that bring us back to a certain frequency or activate a new one. Sound can cause us to feel energized or relaxed. A thought can shift our mood and our reality. These are simple things that can and do impact us, on an everyday basis, in a variety of ways.
When a person or practitioner is tuned in, they can sense where energy imbalances are, whether there is an unhealthy build up or lack of energy. With that awareness, shifts and changes can take place, sometimes on a conscious level and oftentimes, on a subconscious level. Our bodies are in a constant state of seeking homeostasis and health. They are more intelligent than our minds and they take the opportunity to heal and stabilize when it’s given - even if our mind isn’t sure what to do.

Sound therapy is believed to use sound vibrations to promote healing by restoring the body's natural frequencies. This can be achieved through the use of instruments such as tuning forks, singing bowls, gongs, or the voice, each of which are believed to have their own unique vibrational frequencies. Acupuncture is a practice that involves the insertion of fine needles into specific points on the body to stimulate energy flow and promote healing. It is believed to work by balancing the body's energy, or Qi, which flows through channels known as meridians.
Color therapy is another form of vibrational medicine that uses the energy of different colors to promote healing. Each color has its own unique energy frequency, which can be used to balance specific aspects of the body's energy. For example, blue is often used to promote relaxation and calmness, while red is used to stimulate energy and vitality.
Reiki is a form of energy healing that involves the use of the practitioner's hands to channel energy into the body to promote healing. It is believed to work by clearing energy blockages and allowing the restoration of the body's natural energy flow.
In addition to these practices, energy medicine can also involve the use of crystals and gemstones, which are believed to have their own unique vibrational frequencies. These stones are often placed on or near the body, or used in essences, elixirs and other remedies, to help balance the body's energy and promote healing.
Another aspect of energy medicine is the use of affirmations and visualization techniques, which are used to help shift the body's energy and promote healing. These techniques involve focusing the mind on thoughts and images of what we want. They can take advantage of mirror neurons and can be used in conjunction with other vibrational medicine practices to enhance their effectiveness.
While energy and vibrational medicine is not yet widely accepted by the mainstream medical community (watch out though because Pluto just moved into Aquarius so expect to see some shifts) many people have reported positive results from these practices, and they continue to gain popularity as more people seek out alternative approaches to health and wellness.
